Saving attachments

To save a selected attachment or multipart message to a file:

  1. Select Save Attachment to File from the Message menu.

  2. Select a file in which to save the attachment.

  3. If the selected file has existing text in it, select Overwrite Existing Text to replace the existing text with this message, or select Append To Existing Text to add this attachment to the end of the file.

  4. If you are saving a complete multipart message, specify whether you want non-text attachments saved in their original format or if you want to save text descriptions of the attachments instead of the actual data. If you are saving a single attachment from a message, it is saved in its original format.

NOTE: Although you can save one-component messages or multipart messages in mail folders, you can save individual attachments only in files. The exception is if the attachment was itself originally a complete message.
