Creating context-sensitive help

Creating a help topic

Help topics live in /usr/lib/scohelp; refer to this directory for examples. The help topic name should be an abbreviation of the full name (for example, FS_manager for the Filesystem Manager). The help topic directory will contain all the help node files.

You can create help files in simple HTML format. The files must have the .html entension for SCOHelp to recognize them. Help files distributed with UnixWare are compressed to save space (such files have a .Z extension) and are uncompressed on the fly by SCOHelp. However, you need not compress your files.

See UNRESOLVED XREF-0 for information on creating HTML documents.
