Using the graphical interface of debug

Help menu

The Help menu in the debugger's default configuration gives you access to the debugger's online help facility. Clicking MENU on the Help button brings up a menu with different options, depending on which panes are present in the window. The following options appear in the Help menu of one or more windows in the default configuration (remember that you can configure the Help menu to have different options, or can move these options to different menus):

Pressing the <F1> key will also bring up Help on the item that has the Input Focus.

Pane Help

A different Pane Help option is available for each of the debugger's pane types. Invoking Pane Help for a given Pane brings up a help message describing the functionality and purpose of that pane.

In the debugger's default configuration, the ``Help menu'' of every window contains Pane Help entries for each pane that is configured for that window. For example, the Help menu in the Source window contains the options: Status Pane Help, Stack Pane Help and Source Pane Help.

Table of Contents

Clicking SELECT on the Table of Contents option brings up a scrollable list of all help topics available in the debugger with hyper-text links to each topic.

In the debugger's default configuration, the Table of Contents option is available in the ``Help menu'' of every window.

Version

The Version option brings up an informational dialog describing the current version of the debugger.

In the debugger's default configuration, the Version option is available in the ``Help menu'' of every window.
