Unnecessary automounts

If you have directories listed in your $PATH that are controlled by automount, automount will mount each of these directories whenever someone logs in. If there are many such directories, login time will increase significantly.

automount may also generate unnecessary activity if utilities are run from cron if regular jobs affect directories controlled by automount.
