Administering filesystems

Filesystem types

In the Filesystem Manager, view the types of filesystem on your system by selecting Filesystem Type from the View menu.

The types shown in ``Supported filesystem types'' are fully supported in the Filesystem Manager.

Supported filesystem types

Type Filesystem
VxFS Veritas filesystem (default)
HTFS High Throughput filesystem
EAFS Extended Acer Fast filesystem
AFS Acer Fast filesystem
S51K AT&T UNIX System V 1KB filesystem
cdfs CD-ROM filesystem (includes support for the High Sierra, ISO-9600, Joliet, and Rockridge CD-ROM filesystems)
dosfs DOS filesystem
NFS Network filesystem

In addition, your SCO OpenServer system supports memfs (Memory filesystems), although these cannot be managed with the Filesystem Manager. Mounting and unmounting must be done on the command line and configuration by editing the /etc/default/filesys file directly.
