M_BREAK(D7str)

M_BREAK -- request that BREAK be transmitted on media

Description

Sent to a driver to request that BREAK be transmitted on whatever media the driver is controlling.

The message format is not defined by STREAMS and its use is developer-dependent. This message may be considered a special case of an M_CTL(D7str) message. An M_BREAK message cannot be generated by a user-level process and is always discarded if passed to the Stream head.
