qenable(D3str)


qenable -- schedule a queue's service routine to be run

Synopsis

void qenable(queue_t *q);

Description

qenable puts the queue pointed to by q on the linked list of those whose service routines are ready to be called by the STREAMS scheduler.

Arguments


q
Pointer to the queue.

Return values

None

Usage

qenable works regardless of whether the service routine has been disabled by a prior call to noenable(D3str).

Context

Base or Interrupt.

Synchronization constraints

Does not block.

Driver-defined basic locks, read/write locks, and sleep locks may be held across calls to this function.

The caller cannot have the stream frozen (see freezestr(D3str)) when calling this function.
