ID mapping
ID Mapping is a facility to standardize and centralize the mapping of
remote identification information to its local counterpart.
ID Mapping consists of:
-
a database of identities (attributes) to be mapped
-
a set of commands to administer those databases
-
a set of library routines for applications to use to interpret the information
in those databases
The library interfaces to ID Mapping are:
-
namemap(S)
to map user names
-
attrmap(S)
to map user attributes
These interfaces are found in
libiaf.so.
