G2++ Tutorial - G2++(C++)

Using G2++ with User-Defined Types

G2 provides support for typed I/O of records containing a fixed repertoire of builtin C types. (Besides character arrays, G2 supports CHAR, SHORT and LONG.) G2++ typed I/O extends G2's range to a virtually unlimited number of new types by providing support for user-defined types. This section explains how to define G2++ records containing user-defined types and how to build the infrastructure necessary to get the typed inserters and extractors to do the mapping for you.
