Using NFS on a client

Using NFS on a client

This topic describes how NFS® clients can mount resources, either automatically, in which case the resources are available at the start of NFS operations, or as required, using the command line.

Note that the commands described in this topic are located in /usr/sbin. Ensure that your PATH variable is set properly to use these commands conveniently.

Detailed coverage of how to troubleshoot client-based NFS operations (including descriptions of the NFS daemons), and how to tune the NFS parameters, is given in ``Troubleshooting and tuning NFS''.
