Creating local automount maps
Creating local automount maps allows users to vary their
automounting privileges according to specialized needs.
To create local automount maps:
-
Edit the /etc/auto.master file to contain entries like:
+/local_map_name
For example:
+/etc/auto.mystuff # local map
The / entry indicates to automount that it is
to read a local map
instead of an NIS map.
-
Edit the /etc/nfs file to remove the -m option
-
Reboot to restart automount
