Viewing a specific set of messages

You can choose to view a list of messages based on specific information in the message headers or text. You can pick messages based on:

• the subject of the mail

• the user the mail is from

• the user(s) the mail is addressed to

• the user(s) listed in the Cc list

• any specific words or phrases in the message text

• any keywords in the message headers

• any information included in a customized header; type the name of the customized header under Header and the text of the restriction under Value

To specify a set of messages to look at:

1. Select Specified List from the View menu.

2. If you have multiple folders open, select the folder containing the message list you want to restrict (next to ``Specify list in folder'').

3. Select one or more fields on which you want to base the restrictions by clicking in the appropriate box and typing the text of the restriction. For example, to view messages on a particular subject, such as ``weeds,'' type weeds in the ``Subject'' field. To select messages about ``schedules'' from useranne, type schedules in the ``Subject'' field and type anne in the ``From'' field.

   NOTE: If you enter more than one restriction, only messages that satisfy all the listed restrictions are displayed.
