Using the HBA Certification Checklist

The HBA Certification Requirements Checklist was developed to serve the following purposes:

• Provide a checklist for HBA vendors so they know what is expected from their driver, and what we expect them to test.

• Provide a consistent list of requirements to all HBA vendors.

• Provide a checklist so we can track what features are supported for that driver and HBA model, what testing was done, and what deliverables have been met.

• Provide a tool to help assess the risk of accepting drivers which do not meet all the requirements.

• Provide a tool for the vendor to understand what areas need to be tested, and what requirements are important.
