Terminology for graphics driver writers

MFB or mfb

Monochrome Frame Buffer. The MFB layer is a partial implementation of the DDX layer for a directly mapped monochrome (1 bit per pixel) frame buffer. To the X server, monochrome means a black and white display with one bit per pixel. This should not be confused with a ``grey scale'' display which uses more than one bit per pixel.
