Starting and exiting the Panorama (xdt3) Desktop
If you logged in previously, you may see a dialog box with
two options:
To start the Desktop with the setup you had prior to your last
logout, select the option to resume your last session.
To start
the Desktop with the setup you saw when you first logged in (known
as the default state), select the option to start a new session.
An hourglass appears, indicating that you're waiting for the session
manager, scosession, to start the Desktop.
In addition to starting the Desktop,
After you complete your Desktop session, follow the procedure described
below to log out:
-
Select Exit from the Desktop
File menu.
-
If you changed the layout of the Desktop window, you see a message
asking if you want to save the new Desktop layout.
-
If you have anything in the Trash desktop, you see a message asking
if you want to empty it before exiting.
-
After you answer those questions, you see a message asking you to
confirm that you want to log out. Choose OK to exit completely from
the Desktop. Choose Cancel to continue with working.
scosession is represented on your Desktop with
the Session icon, located in the Preferences Editor in
the Controls window.
You can use the Session icon to:

specify if you want subsequent sessions to start in the same state as your
previous session or in the default state
-
customize the default state
