Using the Graphical Calendar

Setting mail and calendar reminders

Use the Reminder program to inform you of incoming mail and upcoming calendar events.

Starting the Reminder program

To start the scoremind daemon: double-click on the Reminder icon from the Accessories folder, or type:

scoremind &

in a UNIX window.

Configuring the Reminder program

To configure calendar and mail reminders, start the Reminder program and click on the Configure button in the Reminders dialog, (or type remconfig in a UNIX window).

The ``Reminder Configuration'' window opens.

To select or deselect reminders for calendar events, toggle the Event button.

To select or deselect reminders for mail messages:


All
Send a reminder for all mail messages.

Urgent
Send a reminder for all urgent mail messages.

Personal
Send a reminder for all mail messages on which the user's name appears on the ``To:'' line.

Private
Send a reminder for all mail messages sent only to the user.
To change the Welcome, Mail, or Calendar reminder music:

Click on the corresponding Choose button, then highlight the desired tune in the ensuing list. To preview the tune, click on the Play/Stop button.

To stop reminder music, select ``Silence'' from the list.

To shut off incoming mail header music, select Ignore message music.

Stopping the Reminder program

To stop the scoremind daemon: select the Reminder icon from the Accessories folder, or type:

scoremind &

in a UNIX window. Click on the Stop It button.
