statmon(NF)

statmon -- statd directory and file structures

Format

plain text file

Description

The /etc/sm/record and /etc/sm/recover plain text files are generated by the statd daemon. Each hostname in /etc/sm/record represents the name of the machine to be monitored by the statd daemon. Each hostname in /etc/sm/recover represents the name of the machine to be notified by the statd daemon upon its recovery.

The /etc/sm/state plain text file is generated by the statd daemon and records its current version number. This version number is incremented each time a crash or recovery takes place.
