metreg(ADM)

metreg -- initialize kernel metrics information (kernel system information)

Synopsis

/sbin/metreg

Description

The metreg command initializes the kernel metrics information in /var/adm/metreg.data. It is run from /etc/inittab on each reboot to keep this file current.

Note that rtpm depends on the kernel metrics information in the file /var/adm/metreg.data. If there has been a system configuration change since the last time metreg was run that renders the data invalid, an error message like the following is displayed by rtpm:

   mas_open: MAS_SANITY nlocks corrupted.
To correct the problem, run the metreg command. See the metreg(F) manual page for a description of the information initialized by metreg.
