ldrseek(S-osr5)

ldrseek, ldnrseek -- seek to relocation entries of a section of a common object file

Syntax

cc . . . -lld

#include  <filehdr.h>
#include  <ldfcn.h>

int ldrseek (ldptr, sectindx) LDFILE *ldptr; unsigned short sectindx;

int ldnrseek (ldptr, sectname) LDFILE *ldptr; char *sectname;

Description

ldrseek- seeks relocation entries of section specified by sectname

ldnrseek- seeks relocation entries of section specified by sectname

The ldrseek function seeks to the relocation entries of the section specified by sectindx of the common object file currently associated with ldptr.

The ldnrseek function seeks to the relocation entries of the section specified by sectname.

The ldrseek and ldnrseek functions return SUCCESS or FAILURE. ldrseek fails if sectindx is greater than the number of sections in the object file; ldnrseek fails if there is no section name corresponding with sectname. Either function fails if the specified section has no relocation entries or if it cannot seek to the specified relocation entries.

Note that the first section has an index of one.
