Intro -- introduction to OpenServer kernel functions for SCSI drivers

Description

This section contains manual pages for the SCO OpenServer kernel functions used only for SCSI target and host adapter device drivers. In earlier releases, these were the Section K_SCSI manual pages. These functions supplement those in the Section D3oddi manual pages in Section D3oddi manual pages.

The documentation uses a pseudo-interface versioning scheme that is explained in ``OSDI SCSI driver interface version for SCO OpenServer 5'' in HDK Technical Reference. Although the SCO OpenServer kernel is not versioned, this scheme makes a convenient way to identify older functions that are obsolete and should be avoided in new drivers, and new functions that are not supported for earlier releases of the operating system.
